Free Flu Vaccine Clinic at The Malibu Library on November 9

HEALTH-Resident in Malibu, LA County Department of Public Health has joined in partnership with LA County Library to give citizens in the community an opportunity to get vaccinated for a free Flu shot, Covid-19, and updated bivalent boosters vaccines, for children  6 months and older, no health insurance needed.

The updated bivalent boosters aid in protecting against the first coronavirus strain and the more recent Omicron virus.

Appointments can be scheduled online at your choice of location, to bypass lengthy waiting times, visit: myturn.ca.gov. and search by zip code. Walk-ins are welcome while vaccine supplies last.

The LA County Department of Public Health suggests flu vaccinations for all persons aged 6 months and over, including healthy kids and grown-ups.

 Get a flu vaccine if you are:

  • Kids 5 years of age and younger
  • individuals 65 years and older
  • If you are pregnant or just had a child
  • if you are a nursing home resident or live in a long-term care home
  • People with weakened immune systems
  • Suffer from a chronic illness (asthma, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, stroke, HIV/AIDS.
  • If you care for an individual more probable, to have complications from catching the flu
  • If you are a healthcare provider

For minors getting vaccinated at a location run by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health: minors aged 6 months to age 17, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, with a signed consent form.
