SPORTS-LeBron James sustained a groin injury in the left leg, during a Lakers versus Clippers game on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, while trying to dunk a basket in the fourth quarter of the game, in a 114–101. loss to the Kings, but according to "King James", the four-time champion, anticipates returning to the court on Friday to play a game against the Kings.
James said via Dave McMenamin of ESPN “I’ll go around [the clock treatment for 24 hours, and if it’s OK on Friday, I’ll be in the lineup,”
Doctors for the Lakers team, are scheduled to assess James's injury on Thursday, November, 10, and “administer medical imaging on his groin to determine the extent of the injury,” per McMenamin.
James suffered a left groin injury and missed 17 games in the 2018–19 season, from December to January.
