COVID-19 cases are on the rise throughout Los Angeles County

LOS ANGELES-Los Angeles County Health officials announced an increase in cases of the COVID-19 virus and hospitalizations are on the rise, according to the public health director. 

The data report was released  on Friday, November 11, also suggesting that masks be worn indoors, and cautioning the public that two new covid variants are emerging.
Barbara Ferrer said covid case rates have been "slowly but steadily increasing'' since the beginning of November.

On Thursday, November 10, Los Angeles County indicated that 1,595 new COVID-19 illnesses and eight more deaths linked to virus infections, bringing its accumulative calculations to 3,501,782 cases and 34,039 deaths since the pandemic started.

According to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health additional data and information, states that residents who purchase at-home tests are not reporting the results to county health officials.
