LOS ANGELES, COUNTY-Students 6 to 18 that are headed back to school in Los Angeles County, can resume taking the Metro, free to school until possibly next summer. The program permitting students to ride Metro free is a pilot program, approved amid the covid_19 pandemic, to aid low-income pupils with transportation.
The program mandates all county offices of education, public school districts, including charter schools, in kindergarten through 12th grade be fed two free meals, on each day of school, and any pupil requesting a meal, whether the child is eligible for free or reduced-priced breakfast or lunch.
