Red Rose Gift Giving

Flowers seem to speak to us in many ways when we are gifted a fragrant essence of a flower, especially when given a single red rose, it is said to imply a gesture of love. 

Receiving flowers from someone in earlier periods in History expressed love, empathy or sympathy or an apology, or a guilt gift, as they do today.

Here are some current meanings for Roses and Romance:

Two roses interlaced are a classic symbol for a proposal, they say let's get married. 

Six roses may suggest a passion for love.

Eleven roses are an implication of reassuring your lover, of loyal and profound love. 

One dozen red roses indicate true love.

If you love surprises, Thirteen red roses, mean you have a secret wooer.
