Data shows that amid the week ending February 9, 2023, nearly 31,000 child COVID-19 cases were reported, according to the Children and COVID-19: State Data Report. Approximately 15. 4 million child COVID cases have been reported since the pandemic's beginning.

The AAP recommends a COVID-19 vaccination for all kids and adolescents, ages 6 months and older who have no contraindications with a vaccine authorized for their age.
