Downtown LA Structure Fire Knocked Down

DOWNTOWN, LOS ANGELES–A five-story structure went up in flame with smoke escaping from the second floor of the building, at 721 S Main Street in Downtown L A.

The fire occurred at 7:30 a.m. today, Firefighters located the blaze in one unit.

48 Central Bureau Firefighters extinguished the fire and utilized ventilation procedures to release smoke and bring fresh air into the structure.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under active investigation.

LAPD was also at the scene.
