Motorist injured when his automobile smashes into Van Nuys apartment structure

A 75-year-old man was transported to the hospital on Saturday, February 25, after crashing his automobile into an apartment complex at 6840 N. Kester Ave., in Van Nuys. said LAFD, Battalion 10 Valley Bureau officials.

The collision reportedly occurred at 7:36 p.m., on February 25, 2023, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

LAFD says, The victim was the only person in the sedan that entered a first-floor unit of the apartment structure.

The man sustained an injury to his arm and medics transferred him to a local trauma center in oK condition, he said.

LAFD's Urban Search and Rescue team arrived at the scene to conduct an initial structural and stabilization evaluation, LAFD said.

The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety was also dispatched.
