A Woman died after reportedly being run over while helping someone stuck in snow in Big Bear

BIG BEAR-A woman was killed on Saturday, February 25, after she was allegedly run over while attempting to assist an individual stuck in the snow near the area of Polique Canyon in Big Bear.

The woman was identified as Barbie Hughes, the information surrounding her death is presently unclear but her relatives stated that the incident is under investigation.

Hughes was transported to a hospital but was unable to be taken to the hospital via air flight due to extreme weather conditions. She reportedly passed away on Sunday morning while sedated.

Hughes's family furthermore started a GoFundMe to help with the costs related to her death.
