A Woman was hit and killed while crossing South Coast Highway, in Laguna Beach

An unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed while trying to cross the South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach on Friday, March 10th, According to the Long Beach Police Department.

The collision occurred roughly before 6:25 p.m., close to the corner of Mountain Road and South Coast Hwy. says the LBPD.
When officials arrived, Laguna Beach Marine Safety officers discovered a female's body lying on the highway, attempts to save the woman's life were initiated, but, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

During the investigation Onlookers stated, the victim was not in the crosswalk when she was hit by the automobile," the statement indicates.

Officers do not think that narcotics or booze are a factor in the crash.
The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities, LBPD stated.
The lanes of South Coast Highway were shut down during the investigation.
