Man Rescued from the L.A. River in Boyle Heights

BOYLE HEIGHTS-LAFD land and air response teams rescued an individual in distress near the Los Angeles River south of Washington Blvd., at 5:05 pm., on March 15.

According to LAFD, When officials arrived at the scene they found an adult male suffering from the symptoms of hypothermia.

LAFD helicopter units airlifted the man and provided in-flight medical aid, transporting him to the Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center.

The man's identity wasn't immediately released. LAFD ground and air forces searched the area, and no other persons were found.
