Image

Saturday, March 25

DUI Saturation Patrol from 5 P.M. to 1 A.M. in Central Area

DUI Saturation Patrol from 9 P.M. to 3 A.M. in Wilshire Area

DUI Checkpoint from 6 P.M. to 11 P.M. at Manchester Avenue and Figueroa Street

Please be aware that the locations of the checkpoints are subject to cancelation or location changes.

The DUI checkpoint locations are selected based on data showing incidents of impaired driving-related collisions and arrests. The immediate purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by enlightening drivers on the dangers of DUI and by taking suspected impaired motorists off the road.

The Los Angeles Police Department reminds the public that impaired driving is not just from alcohol. Some prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs may interfere with driving. While medicinal and recreational marijuana is legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal.

Motorists charged with a first-time DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, and a suspended license.
