Snowpack and increased temperatures may cause flooding in areas across Central Valley

Image

After experiencing the deepest snowpack in California in decades, state officials are warning that runoff  of melting snow will send tons of water from the peaks of the Sierra Nevada to the foothills and valleys, causing flooding in ares such as  Tulare Lake Basin and parts of the Central Valley that have been impacted  by storm flooding this year, and are in the zone of snow runoff and water released from dams in the vicinity.
San Joaquin River, and tributaries, will see treacherous conditions as well.
