General Motors is executing a recall of over 660,000 SUVs due to a possible security problem involving car seats. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration publicized a recall alert on their webpage on Thursday, declaring that specific editions of the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles may feature an excessive coating on the rear-seat LATCH anchorage bars. This system, typically employed as an alternative to the seatbelt when installing a car seat, may obstruct installation. GM and the NHTSA indicate that the impacted Equinox and Terrain vehicles were produced between 2020 and 2023.
