Suspicious package at LAX causes flight delays and shuts down traffic
LOS ANGELES-The bomb squad was dispatched to Terminal 1 of LAX International Airport tonight before 11:00 pm. The area was somewhat evacuated, resulting in traffic being shut down along Sepulveda Blvd for several hours, as members of the bomb squad investigated a suspicious package left in the area.
LAX announced the incident via a post on Twitter that said Police Authorities had completed their investigation and the airport business would be returning to normal.
No dangers were associated with the package, according to the LAPD.
Flights remained delayed during the incident.
