The affected schools were Mount Gleason Middle School, Plainview Avenue Elementary, Pinewood Avenue Elementary, and Verdugo Hills High School. Fortunately, it was confirmed by authorities that this was not an active shooter situation and that the man spotted on a scooter in tactical gear was not armed.

The Los Angeles Unified spokesperson emphasized that the lockdowns were a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all students and that they are safe. The school has maintained communication with local authorities and the Los Angeles School Police Department has taken precautionary measures.

No injuries were reported, and there is no update on any arrests made.
