NOAA High Tide Flooding Portal and Annual Predictions

High tide flooding is when water overflows and accumulates on usually dry coastal land during high tides. Due to rising sea levels, this kind of flooding is happening more often, even on sunny days.

The effects of high tide flooding are temporary, such as road closures, overflowing storm drains, and temporary business closures. However, the long-term effects can be more severe, causing damage to infrastructure below the ground and degraded wetlands.

To help mitigate the impact of high tide flooding, NOAA provides information to assist users in planning ahead.
