The center of Hurricane Idalia is currently moving through Georgia while Floridians are starting to assess the damage caused by the storm. It made landfall near Keaton Beach, Florida this morning as a Category 3 storm, with maximum sustained winds of 125 miles per hour, before weakening to a Category 1 storm while passing through Georgia. Idalia is expected to approach the coasts of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina later tonight, according to the National Hurricane Center. PowerOutage.us reports that around 470,000 customers have lost power in the two states. As of now, no deaths have been officially linked to Idalia, said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
