Silver Lake Structure Fire Knocked Down

On September 9th, 2023 at 3:28 am, a single-family home located at 2311 W Fargo St caught fire.  When firefighters arrived at the scene, The fire was intense and was dealt with offensively.

At 4:13 a.m., the incident continued to worsen as firefighters encountered heavy fire and excessive storage conditions inside the two-story hillside home. As the situation progressed, the structural integrity of the building weakened, which forced the firefighters to retreat into a defensive mode. While outside, the roof of the structure partially collapsed.

It took 90 firefighters 35 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
