1 Man killed and 1 woman injured in traffic crash

Today at 7:20 pm Firefighters were dispatched to the scene of an automobile accident involving a motorcycle at 3191 S Sepulveda Blvd.

The incident occurred in Palms, a community in the Westside area of Los Angeles.

The impact of the traffic collision caused the vehicle to catch on fire. Firefighters doused the flames but reported that an adult male was killed as a result of the crash and not the automobile fire. Another victim an adult female was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries not related to the fire. There was no report on who was operating the motorcycle.

One or more traffic lanes remained shut down in the area until LAPD and the Medical Examiner concluded their investigation, motorist were advised to think about taking alternate highways to bypass the immediate area.
