One person Killed and multiple injured after School bus crash in O.C.

One individual was killed 5 severely injured and approximately 46 were injured after a bus occupied by high school pupils rolled down an embankment on Thursday in O.C. CA

The students are from Farmingdale High School in Nassau County, They were en route to a music affair in Greeley, PA, for band camp.

The incident happened as the bus was traveling westbound on I-84 in Wawayanda at approximately 1:20 p.m.

The victim killed in the collision is thought to be a grown-up. The five people who were seriously wounded are thought to be youngsters.

all injured parties were taken to Westchester County Medical Center and Garnet Health Medical Center in Wallkill.

In a statement, The Farmingdale School District said "We were informed that there had been an accident with Bus 1 en route to Greeley, PA for band camp. Police and emergency responders on on the scene, as well as district administration. We will provide another update when more information becomes available. We ask for your patience as we gather more details."

A representative for SUNY Orange stated the college's physical schooling center will be utilized as a family information/reunification center.

. Due to the crash, All Westbound traffic lanes are shut down at exit 15.
