Female arrested after Border Patrol agents discover 5 pounds of heroin concealed inside a diaper bag

During a routine inspection, United States Border Patrol agents made an important arrest earlier this week. The woman in question was found to be carrying a significant amount of illegal substances. Agents discovered four neatly wrapped bundles inside a diaper bag during a search of her vehicle. Upon further examination, it was determined that these bundles contained approximately 5.4 pounds of heroin, valued at an estimated $69,120 on the street. This incident took place near an immigration checkpoint outside of Temecula around 7 p.m., when the suspect was traveling northbound on the I-15 Freeway. The diligent work of these agents helps ensure our borders are secure and protected from dangerous substances like heroin.

A yet unidentified woman, accompanied by her five-year-old daughter, was apprehended during their travel. Further investigation revealed that she has a previous conviction for drug smuggling, although no additional details were provided. The child was transferred to a suitable guardian, as stated by authorities. C

As reported by Chief Patrol Agent Patricia D. McGurk-Daniel who expressed her appreciation for the agents' dedication to safeguarding communities from the risks posed by drug trafficking organizations. Despite the inherent danger, these organizations go to great lengths to transport their illicit cargo through the United States, even at the expense of young children's lives.
