Woman Arrested for Attacking 13-year-old Girl

HARBOR CITY, LOS ANGELES-The suspect accused of assaulting 13-year-old Kassidy Jones has been taken into custody for an unprovoked attack that occurred inside a Harbor City McDonald's, Los Angeles police said.

In an earlier new report, The initial incident was reported to have taken place in Lomita on September 6, 2023, The attack was captured on video and initiated an uproar of protests and calls for justice for Jones, who stated she went into the McDonald's restaurant with some friends when she was attacked with little forewarning or exchange of words with the suspect the victim told parent.

According to LAPD, the public's interest in the video of the beating led to numerous tips, and later to the whereabouts of the suspect.

Ariana Lauifi, 31, of Harbor City, was arrested by authorities on Thursday and booked for felony child abuse. This case will be turned over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for filing consideration.

Meanwhile, Kassidy remains traumatized and in therapy.
