Brush Fire Extinguished In Slymar

Today at 9:50 p.m., Valley Bureau firefighters were dispatched to the North Bound 5 Freeway x East Bound 210 Freeway, after receiving a report of a brush fire.

According to fire officials, an approximate 50' x 75' area of herbage was on fire, with the assistance of the LA County Fire Officials and the California Highway Patrol who assisted with lane closures on the freeway, 32 LAFD firefighters contained the blaze to *less than* a tenth of an acre, completing a knockdown in 41 minutes. No injuries or structural damage was reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
