A male victim identified as a staff member of a Jack in the Box in the Winnetka area was stabbed by a suspect outside the fast-food eatery while on break.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 2:20 a.m. at Jack in the Box, located in the 6800 block of De Soto Avenue, LAPD said.
The man was transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, officers said.
According to authorities the man who was stabbed was with another worker outside the establishment when the suspect attempted entering the restaurant but was refused entry. The suspect then stabbed the victim and fled from the scene on foot, police said.
The suspect is described as a male roughly 35 years of age, 170lbs, and 5'7 inches tall, wearing dark attire, and had a backpack. officers said, adding, The man, is thought to be a transient.
