An important update has been released by the FDA regarding oysters from Future Seafoods, Inc., Prince Edward Island, Canada. The harvest area PE9B on 10/10/2023 is potentially contaminated with both Salmonella and E. coli. Therefore, the FDA has advised restaurants, food retailers, and consumers not to sell, serve, or eat these oysters. Importers in FL, MA, MD, ME, PA, and VA who received shipments from Future Seafoods, Inc. on 10/10/2023 are particularly urged to dispose of the contaminated oysters.
