Federal Reserve Board launches data collection to gather more information from the banks affected by the large bank capital proposal it announced earlier this year
On October 20, 2023, The Federal Reserve Board established a data collection to collect more info from the banks impacted by the big bank capital recommendation it reported earlier this year.
When announcing the proposal, the Board revealed that it would launch this additional data collection.
The supplemental data will also clarify the estimated results of the proposal and report any last rule, with outlines to be shared publicly.
January 16, 2024, is the submission deadline for the data collection.
In July, the Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation requested comment on the proposal, which is the final major bank regulatory plank devised to address losses from the global monetary crisis of 2007-2008.
The proposal solely applies to banks with $100 billion or better in total assets and would heighten the banking system to decrease the risk of pricey financial concerns.
