Southern Grape Kool-Aid with lemon slices

Satisfy your thirst with a glass of Southern Grape Kool-Aid with lemon slices

 cheap and refreshing drink. Serves 5 to 6 about 195 calories

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg Grape Kool-Aid
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 qt water
  • fresh lemon slices

Instructions

  1. Mix both packs of Kool-Aid and water in a pitcher, add sugar, stir until sugar is dissolved, squeeze 1/2 slice of lemon in the Kool-Aid mixture, and pour over cubes in tall drinking glasses.
  2. Put the lemon slices into a Kool-Aid pitcher and each glass of Kool-Aid.
  3. Enjoy your drink!
  4. You may substitute Grape Kool-aid with your favorite flavor, For this recipe always use fresh fruit when possible.

If you are serving this beverage to young children, use caution, smaller kids may choke on fruit slices, and be sure to omit lemon seeds as well.

If you are on a liquid-restriction diet, watch your fluid intake, if limiting sugar you may use a sugar substitute, check with your nutritionist for the best sweetener to use.
