The unofficial holiday that celebrates the anniversary of John Montagu, the fourth Earl of Sandwich.

This old fable says the current-day version of the sandwich was created when Montagu's cooks put meat between two pieces of bread so the Earl could eat his feast while gambling. What a roll of the dice that was, a straight winner.
