Driver killed in auto crash on highway 138 in Lancaster

LANCASTER- A motorist driving a Honda Civic was killed in a head-on crash after colliding with a big rig truck, east of 250th Street West, on Highway 138 in Lancaster , officers said Saturday.

The wreck happened at approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, the California Highway Patrol said

According to CHP, The male driver of the 2018 Honda Civic was heading eastbound on State Route 138 when the automobile veered across the middle yellow lines into the pathway of the 2023 Kenworth T680.

The motorist of the Honda was thrown from the vehicle and expired at the scene.

The identity of the victim was not released.

There is no information on the big rig driver.

No further information is readily available.

The CHP asked anyone with information regarding the crash to call the CHP's Newhall area office at 661-600-1600.
