BANSHEE is a gothic horror short film created by FigBoot Productions. The film has been nominated for the Best Northern Irish Short award. It is composed entirely of still images, in the style of Chris Marker's La Jetée. The story is set in the 19th century and follows a young girl who encounters the titular phantom of Irish folklore while taking care of her dying mother. BANSHEE is nominated for Best Northern Irish Short.

"The process of creating a narrative horror film out of still images was incredibly challenging, and the journey to the festival circuit has been equally difficult and rewarding. Since its debut last year, the film has won multiple awards and has been screened in cinemas and art galleries. The creator of the film was also fortunate enough to have the opportunity to talk about it on ITV.

Mervyn Marshall is a Director, Writer, and also works in the Camera and Electrical Department. His credits include Banshee and United (2020)."

Creating Banshee was a skillful and dynamic process.
