Report of Chemical Spill in Downtown, Los Angeles

On November 10, at 1:32 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to 1168 La Live Wy, In Downtown, Los Angeles after a 55-gallon drum was re-located to a parking facility for cleaning.

An adult male worker complained of illness from the fumes from unidentified contents inside the drum, which may have been chemicals.

LAFD units contacted LAFD's HazMat squad, who arrived at the scene and organized a plan to try and identify the contents.

The worker was treated on scene and declined transport to the hospital for further medical treatment. No one else reported any illnesses. The HVAC units in the vicinity of the drum were shut down during the incident. No evacuations were required. 

The original 9-1-1 call was received at 11:58 AM.
