Man arrested after allegedly confronting a school worker with a rifle
On Thursday, November 16, a male suspect was arrested after allegedly confronting a staff member at Larchmont Charter School on Fairfax Avenue with a rifle.
The incident caused the school to be put on lockdown. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported that the suspect was later detained by sheriff deputies in the Hollywood area, with assistance from LAPD. School officials notified parents and guardians that the campus was on lockdown, but students would be released to their parents.
The suspect's whereabouts were identified through security footage, and no injuries were reported. Officials confirmed that there was no active threat to the public.
