Costa Mesa Man convicted to 8324.35 months to life in prison for child molestation
SANTA ANA-Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski,34, a child care service worker and resident of Costa Mesa was convicted of 8324.35 months to life in prison for molesting sixteen boys, two to fourteen years old, and showing another victim kid pornography.
Zakrzewski was convicted on October 3, of thirty-four felony sex charges related to seventeen victims in offenses that occurred from 2014 through 2019, said prosecutors
During the trial, Members of the jury furthermore listened to evidence linking to two other boys, including one that was allegedly molested, but the defendant was not charged with sexually molesting those alleged victims, Deputy District Attorney Juliet Oliver stated.
Multiple parents informed Orange County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Menninger how Zakrzewski's crimes affected their children. One victim offered forgiveness, while another beseeched him to pursue redemption because "It's never too late to turn to God."
Others requested that the defendant be given a maximum sentence, calling the defendant a "master manipulator." One grandma of two victims said, "A death sentence is too good for him... Please show no mercy on this animal."
