Police Apprehend Mom at Shopping Mall on Black Friday After Discovering Body of 9-Year-Old Daughter at Home

Officers were contacted by a family member to execute a wellness check at a home and discovered the body of a female child age 9.
The victim's mom was apprehended at a mall in Southern California on suspicion of murder after her daughter was found lifeless at their residence, in Westchester, according to reports.

32-year-old Khadiyjah Aliyyah Ali Pendergraph was taken into custody on Black Friday at a shopping center in the area. Fox Los Angeles reported.

According to police, the child's body showed signs of trauma, the report said.

Pendergraph is being held in the Orange County Jail.
