On November 28 at 8:48 am, the LAFD received a call reporting that an adult male had fallen over a cliff, in San Pedro. The LA County Lifeguards were the first responders at the scene.

According to the report, the man was about 100 feet over the flank of the ridge and was unresponsive. Firefighters were able to make contact with the victim, while the LAFD Marine Division launched LAFD divers from the boat to assist LA County Lifeguards in the water.

At 9:25 am, LAFD divers and LA County Lifeguards reached the patient at the water's edge and moved him safely to the shore. Due to the dangerous tide conditions and the serious injuries sustained by the male patient, LAFD Air Ops prepared for a hoist operation and will then provide air ambulance transport. The patient is currently alert and talking, but no further details have been provided.
