The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office has identified the male victim who was tragically stabbed to death in Lancaster as John Amaya, 42. This incident occurred on Monday at around 2:35 p.m. in the 43400 block of Sixth Street East. Law enforcement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene and discovered a man with stab wounds, pronounced dead upon their arrival.

At this time, there is no known description of the suspect involved or any potential motive for this crime. It is disheartening to note that this stabbing was not an isolated incident in Lancaster on that day. In another unfortunate event, an unidentified man was fatally shot just after midnight in the 43900 block of Delgado Court.

We encourage anyone with information concerning this stabbing to reach out to the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. If individuals wish to remain anonymous while providing vital details, they can contact Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477. Our thoughts are with those affected by these senseless acts of violence.
