Blue Shield of California members’ data stolen — a theives paradise for Crooks
According to an expert, sensitive information such as the data stolen from Blue Shield is typically sold on the illicit marketplace of the "dark web". Blue Shield of California recently disclosed that confidential patient information, including Social Security numbers, birth dates, and addresses, belonging to vision policyholders may have been accessed by criminal hackers.

Blue Shield is among the thousands of organizations affected by the hack.
