LOS ANGELES -- Actors in Hollywood voted to approve the agreement with studios that concluded their strike after almost four months, executives reported on Tuesday, December 5.
The three-year contract approval by the members of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists was no guarantee, with some notable members expressing disagreement on the deal for which the union leaders negotiated.
The 78% yes vote started November 13 and ceased Tuesday. Union Members of the Writers Guild agreed to the deal that finished their strike in September.
"Today we close out one of the most important chapters in recent entertainment industry history," announced the union in a tweet Tuesday night.
