Commercial truck driver injured, and trapped in wreckage after collision on SB 405 FWY

Van Nuys-A commercial truck driver was extracted and rescued from his vehicle after a collision on the South Bound 405 Freeway and Victory Bl.

The incident occurred on December 12, at 1:23 pm. According to LAFD Fire officials less than 20 gallons of fuel dribbled on the hillside from the truck's tank.

LAFD safely extricated an adult man from his truck. The contents of the spill have not been immediately determined.

The man had reportedly been trapped inside the wreckage for almost 30 minutes, he was assessed by LAFD medics and transported in unknown condition to a regional trauma center.
