Amazon Studios wins the bid for the film Heads Of State

Amazon Studios has won the bid for Heads of State, an action thriller film that will reunite John Cena and Idris Elba. Alongside the duo, Priyanka Chopra Jonas will also star in the film. Several other actors have been cast in supporting roles, including Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle, Clare Foster, Katrina Durden, and Aleksandr Kuznetsov.

Although no plot details have been revealed yet, the film is said to be a mixture of "Air Force One" and "Midnight Run." Directed by Ilya Naishuller and written by Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, and Harrison Query, the film is being produced by The Safran Company. Peter Safran, John Rickard, Cena, Elba, and Marcus Viscidi are serving as executive producers.
