LOS ANGELES, CA — The probe into the demise of a 16-month-old homeless baby girl who died at a bus stop near LAX last week resumed today after the County Coroners office performed an autopsy.
The child was identified Tuesday, December 26, as Yayra Rutherford by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. Officers have not yet confirmed the infant's cause of death: LAPD's Abused Child Unit is leading an investigation.
