On New Year's Eve, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported that the sun produced a significant solar flare. This flare is the most robust one observed since 2017. Solar flares are massive bursts of energy that can pose a threat to spacecraft. However, we are safe here on Earth, except for possible radio interference.
