University Park Greater Alarm Structure Fire Now Out

On January 4, 2024, at firefighters battled a blaze at 2:24 am on 2700 S University Avenue, in University Park.

According to firefighters, heavy flames erupted from the second-level front area of an empty 150' x 200' two-story retail structure. At 4:17 am, 92 LAFD Firefighters contained, and doused the heavy blaze.

The address of the fire was corrected from University Avenue to 806 W Adams Blvd. No injuries or fatalities were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
