On January 16th, 2024 at 8:42 pm, a structure fire was reported at 1265 N Lyman Pl. The location of the incident can be found at https://bit.ly/3YdfvY0. The fire was emitting from a vacant two-story duplex on the second floor (which had previously caught fire). The firefighters were in offensive mode to control the situation.
The situation was resolved by the firefighters at 8:59 pm on the same day. It took 32 firefighters only 17 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames that had consumed a boarded-up residential structure (it is unclear if it was a duplex or a condo, no one was found inside of the structure, and there was no reported injuries. The cause of the fire remains under active investigation.
