The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said the theft happened between 2 p.m. on Saturday and 10:45 a.m. on Sunday. A black truck was seen at the school during the theft. The statue is 8 feet tall, worth around $8,000, and depicts the former California State Assemblyman holding an open book.
