The FDA and CDC investigated a Listeria monocytogenes outbreak linked to recalled stone fruit. Two environmental sub-samples taken from the facility that packed the fruit tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes and matched the same strain that caused 11 illnesses in seven states, including 10 hospitalizations and one death.
