Koreatown Greater Alarm Structure Fire Now Out

On February 2, 2024, at 3:04 p.m., a greater alarm structure fire was reported at 817 S Vermont Av, in the Koreatown area.

There was smoke on the second floor of a two-story office building, and an apparent attic fire. At 3:28 pm, 34 LAFD firefighters arrived at the scene and were able to access, confine and fully extinguish the fire in the attic of a 3,616 square-foot two-story medical office building in just 24 minutes.

There were no injuries reported. Although there were roofers performing hot work atop the building, the exact cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
