Suspect Arrested For The Murder Of Taco Bell Employee Alejandro Garcia

LOS ANGELES-LAPD Chief Michel Moore announced that police officers arrested Jonathan Madden, 39, on Monday, January 10, in connection with the murder of Alejandro Garcia, 41, a Taco Bell employee. The incident occurred in the 9900 block of Avalon Boulevard, near Century Boulevard, in South Los Angeles, at 10:55 p.m. on January 9.

According to reports Alejandro Garcia's 19-year-old son Carlos Garcia was working on the same night. A verbal confrontation occurred when Garcia refused to accept what looked like a counterfeit $20 bill from a customer.

Garcia's family said he usually worked an extra shift on Saturdays, to help support his family. He was the father of three children.

Madden was arrested at his home in South L.A. and is being held on a $2 million bond.
