1 Person Arrested, After Molotov Cocktails Discovered, In Santa Monica Mountains,

LOS ANGELES, CA — Maksim Klimenko, 34, a resident of Los Angeles was arrested by the LAPD Major Crimes Unit, over the weekend, in connection to gas cans and explosive material (Molotov cocktails) that were discovered in the Santa Monica Mountains Recreation Area. LAPD said.

According to reports from Authorities, on Monday, May 23, the explosives were found on Saturday, May 21.  The California State Park Rangers alerted the Los Angeles City Fire Department's Arson Division and LAPD. 

Police and Hazzard Material crews recovered eight explosive cocktails and gasoline receptacles at the location.

The case has been turned over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
